I’m settling into a nice rhythm with this magazina. Far from perfect… or super consistent… but hey, I’m doing what I set out to do. I finally get to share work that the mainstream drag scene (a phrase that feels like an oxymoron) doesn’t make space for.

This month I solidified the format and went back to improve the UI for all the older issues. I went back and added some missing pages too. Something I don’t want to make a habit of, since I’m trying to use the periodical format to showcase current work. A sprinkling of retcon is ok though.

My opinion piece about The Not so Fierce Economics of Drag got a bigger response than I had anticipated. Mostly positive. It seemed like a lot of performers related to what I was saying. Even some in totally different states! A few people were upset about some of the criticisms I had about the state of drag. It was harsh, but I’m not going to censor my honest opinions about something I’ve been doing for 8 years just to placate others.

The other big update from this month has been my WIP video show. It’s not done, but I can share a segment with my readers…
